Growing up in a single parent household in Portsmouth, VA, I knew that my mom didn’t have the means to send me to college. I knew that my only way to possibly get there would be through athletics. Because of my position and my high school’s style of play, I didn’t get a lot of opportunities to showcase my talent on the field. This led to me being overlooked by college coaches, and in turn led to me being under recruited and not having many college options. Fortunately, the University of Delaware was one of the schools that believed in me and my talent and decided to offer me full football scholarship. In my years at Delaware, I became one of the school’s all-time leading wide receivers and was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. I was blessed to be drafted into the NFL by the Chicago Bears and enjoyed a 6-year career, with 3 different teams, most notably the Super Bowl XXXVIII Champions New England Patriots.

Expectations of Champions

My mission is to educate and empower high school student athletes and their families about the college recruiting process so that they may gain a better understanding of how recruiting TRULY works. I know that there are student-athletes out there, just like me, that once given the opportunity, can excel and be great.  BUT THEY HAVE TO BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY FIRST. They need to be equipped with the knowledge of what to do throughout the recruiting process to maximize their opportunities of being noticed and possibly receiving a scholarship through athletics. This will not only be a HUGE burden lifted off the family, but it will change a kid’s life forever! I want to help guide and equip those families with the information so they know exactly what to do! My personal story and past experiences are a true testament of how once a kid is given an opportunity, the SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR THEM and  how it can lead a kid to living out their lifelong dream!
